Westbridge Community Services sponsored a new fundraiser for New Horizons featuring music, recovery, and unity. Held on January 31, 2008, Blues After Christmas was a great success, raising $3,000 for New Horizons. Patrons also donated many boxes of cereal. Jack Lynch opened the evening with comic relief, as well as stories of recovery, followed by an intimate concert by McAndrew. Prior to the show, John McAndrew performed at the New Horizons Soup Kitchen during the Senior Meal. Clients were happy to have such a talented visitor--some even joined in singing and playing instruments. Due to its great success, this will become an annual event.
