Southwest Airlines is celebrating 15 years of flying out of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport and in honor of this milestone they have decided to form this four way partnership. Tom Labrie, Station Manager for Southwest at Manchester/Boston Regional Airport said, “These are two organizations that help so many people and we are proud to be associated with both New Horizons and Special Olympics”.
New Horizons Executive Director Charlie Sherman stated that, “For many years, New Horizons hosted a golf tournament but it proved to be too much of an undertaking with our limited staff. To be able to combine our resources with that of Southwest and our friends from Special Olympics should result in the Southwest Fall Golf Classic being one of the premier Charity golf tournaments of the year”.
Special Olympics New Hampshire provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
